373 viewsWhatever plug you may have, simply push the connectors into the gap on the inward side of the light housing as this has a good gap to hold it out of the way.

373 viewsCut the paper so you have a pattern. Tape it back to the tank, using the marks you placed earlier to property align it. Rub out the marks and put new ones down about 1/4" out. This will help when applying the StompGrip.

373 viewsPut the plug wire on the spark plug and figure out how long you need it. This was a short wire and I had half left over. Motorcycle spark plug wires tend to be shorter than your average V8.

372 viewsNotes: The instructions say to clean the area with brake cleaner and scuff the area. Because I'm using the TankSlapper to protect my tank I didn't do either but I did clean the area on the TankSlapper well.

371 viewsEngine is supported and the jack placed for removing the tranny.
speedo_046.jpg
371 viewsNew tranny going in the opposite way it came out. This was my view of wiggling and pushing the tranny into the car, trying to get the lower engine studs to pass through the tranny bell-housing holes as well as having the splines line up on the tranny input shaft.

371 viewsThe cover back in place with room to spare. Keeps the engine bay looking tidy.

Hmmm...371 viewsThere's about 2-3mm of clearance between the cover and the sprocket retaining nut.

370 viewsNew firewall shifter bushing installed (soak in BOILING HOT WATER for ~30-60 seconds, place in hole, put a 24mm socket against it, and hit with hammer). The vice-grips greatly helped get the cabin shift rod into the under-engine shift rod joint.
